3 Years Later: Lessons Learned from the #MeToo Movement

The hashtag “MeToo” was posted to Facebook and Twitter by more than 5.2 million people in 24 hours beginning on October 15, 2017, sparking a national discussion about sexual harassment and sexual assault. In the more than three years since that time, many employers sought to meet their “affirmative duty to eradicate hostile or offensive work environments” by implementing focused training, improved investigations, and swift responses. In this interactive discussion, Julianne Story and Robert Sanders, Attorneys from Husch Blackwell, LLP, will be joined by Lesley Elwell, Chief People Officer at JE Dunn Construction and  Kyle Kitson (In-house counsel, MMC Corp), to discuss the impact of #MeToo on the construction industry, best practices to create a culture of respect, and what lies ahead.
