Professional Development & Education (PD&E).

The purpose of NAWIC is to advance the education and careers of women in construction. One way the Midwest Region can assist chapters and members is to share presentations from Forums, Fall Conferences, National Conferences and Chapter PD&E meetings. If you would like to share some of the programs you have seen or created, please contact the Midwest Region Regional Director. This can become a source for your Chapter PD&E programs. Check back often as new PD&E is shared!

Leadership Book Club.

Leadership Development Program.

New in 2018-19 a Leadership Book Club! National Vice President Anne Pfleger, CIT has created an opportunity for members throughout the country to share in the learning opportunities available through a Book Club focused on reading and discussing books on Leadership.

The response has been fantastic with a total of 11 discussion groups with about 115 members participating!  Click this link or the books below, to check out the books the group is reading and to find a group! Currently there is a waiting list for new groups!
NAWIC National is developing a variety of new Leadership training opportunities. These programs will help build skills that will not only help you in your chapter leadership, but develop those business leadership skills required to advance in your career - no matter what your job.

Company Culture.

Emotional Intelligence Self-Assessment:  The attached questions are designed to help you establish just how aware you are of your emotional responses and how well you use your emotional intelligence (EQ).

The questionnaire follows the five step model of EQ:  Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Self-Motivation, Social Awareness, and Social Skills (Relationship Management).
